Frequently asked

If your question is not answered here, write to us and a person will reply. We do not use a chatbot.

Is each piece in stock?

Most pieces are in stock and ready to send, and the quantity shown on each product page is what we actually have. Many designs exist in ones and twos, so when a piece sells it may not come back in the same stone. Placeholder pending confirmation with the client: confirm the dispatch time in working days before this page goes live.

Can a piece be adjusted?

Often, yes. Chain and bracelet lengths can usually be changed, and strung pieces can be restrung. Write to us with the piece you are looking at and what you want changed, and we will confirm whether it is possible and whether it affects the price.

Do you take commissions?

Placeholder pending confirmation with the client. Confirm whether the studio accepts commissions, and if so the process, the lead time and how a quote is given, before this page goes live.

Is it solid silver?

Yes. The collection is 925 sterling silver. Placeholder pending confirmation with the client: confirm how the gold finish pieces are made, whether vermeil, gold plated or gold filled, and state it here in plain language before this page goes live.

Are the stones natural?

Yes, unless a product page says otherwise in plain language. The current collection uses Biwa and freshwater pearls, amethyst, amazonite, aventurine, peridot, sapphire, opal, apatite and shell.

Will the silver tarnish?

It will darken with time, especially against skin, perfume and humid air. This is normal and is not a defect. A soft silver polishing cloth brings the brightness back. Store pieces dry, and keep them out of the bathroom.

How do I find my ring size?

The most reliable method is to have a jeweller measure your finger with a steel ring stick, at room temperature, late in the day. Measuring a ring you already own only works if it sits on the same finger of the same hand. If you are between sizes on a wide band, go up, because a wide band sits tighter than a narrow one.

Can a ring be resized later?

Most plain bands can be sized within about two sizes. Rings with stones set into the shoulders, or stones running the whole way round, usually cannot. Tell us which piece you are looking at and we will say before you order.

How should I care for my jewelry?

Clean with a soft dry cloth, and use a silver polishing cloth when the metal dulls. Store each piece separately, because harder stones will scratch softer ones. Remove jewelry before swimming, sleeping, exercising and applying perfume or hand cream. Pearls and opals in particular should never go into an ultrasonic cleaner.

How is my order shipped, and can I return it?

Placeholder pending confirmation with the client. Orders are shipped insured and tracked. Returns are accepted on unworn stock pieces within a stated window, while engraved pieces and bespoke commissions are final sale. Confirm the carrier, the countries served, who pays duties and the exact return window before this page goes live.

Still unsure?

Write to us with the piece you are considering. We would rather answer a question before you order than take a return afterwards.
